This was a good book, if not as far-reaching as I'd hoped. Turns out the whole thing really is about Kansas. Bummer. This has the same centerpiece as I've picked up from many of the lefty books I've been reading; it's the Dems betrayal of their base, workers, that has gotten us in this mess with the Republicans controlling everything. Dems were so busy being moderate-read wishy washy--that we neglected our peeps while the Reps swept them up with religion and guns. We need to remind working people that kissing up to big business hurts them in th end.
